Who we are
Upstream Vacations is a veteran owned and operated vacation rental company in Northern Michigan, run by Lucas Miller. We manage a small collection of homes around Bellaire, Torch Lake and the Lake Michigan shore, and we take care of every guest stay ourselves.
Bellaire BnB is our guide to the area: the lakes, trails, ski hills, restaurants and events we recommend to our own guests, written down so everyone planning a trip here can use it.

How we write this guide
- First-hand picks. The restaurants, bars, parks and day trips here are places we actually go and send our guests.
- Checked facts. Dates, hours, distances and rules are checked against official sources, and each article lists its sources and the date we last checked.
- Kept current. We update guides each season, especially ski dates, events and anything that changes year to year.
- Clearly labeled partners. We aren't paid to recommend anyone in our guides. If we ever feature a paid partner listing, it's labeled as one.
